Driving around Istria with my brother in 2023, visiting the various coastal and hill towns on the Adriatic coast which encompasses Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. I loved the way locals would lay out on the various concrete beaches as if they were made of soft sand, right in the middle of public paths like cats, completely unphased.
